[Luna also left the trial feeling rather like... well, rather like last week and perhaps the last couple of days, when she really didn't feel like being in the same place as all the corpses and whatnot. Call it a matter of preference.
It takes a little while before she drifts back to it, stopping down at the water feature to wash up a little bit. Corpse water again! It's too bad she had to go diving before corpse touching happened. On the bright side, slightly less stabbing this time around.
So Catra merely gets a slightly raised eyebrow and a small nod.]
Of course. I am always thinking of it. How to stop Ruin and all its avatars.
You are... Yu's friend, aren't you?
[Or at least a cat that Yu picked up on the way home. Seems legit.]
I hadn't expected such a large gathering this week when Estelle mentioned a place to stay. It was very lively, and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, for the most part.
[Well, she enjoyed herself, and Estelle may have enjoyed herself. Catra certainly enjoyed herself.
The Kresniks and Yu may have been unfortunate casualties but.
At least Rollo was happy...?]
... Hmm. I suppose that I associate Ruin more closely with destruction than any of the other concepts. It is what I was made to oppose, after all.
Oh, is that what it was? As you may imagine, I don't go to a lot of slumber parties.
[Hard for robots to attend slumber parties when they don't sleep.
Unless the slumberers really want robots to watch them sleep, I guess. Or to stand guard, but that stops being a slumber party at some point. Anyway, the important part is that they got to party with cats and most things were not on fire.
There are different stages of Ruin, always. That is why we speak of things as falling into ruin, and why certain activities or individuals can be ruinous -- it is only once Ruin becomes so advanced that you can no longer heal it that you can ever call it permanent.
[I hate that Luna's response to nonsensical philosophy is to make it worse.]
Of course. I don't give healing to those who don't ask for it.
It is about the choices of living things, and what leads them to Ruin or what leads them to eternity is sometimes a mystery. Maybe it is in how they are made, how they were raised, or how they lived.
There is no one who truly agrees on that, and no one who can truly judge that.
That is surprising. Because even in the act of speaking to someone for the very first time, you are already learning things. That's the nature of when lives cross paths.
WEEK 2, SATURDAY
What, are you still thinking about how to stop Madoka's evil actions?
[ but also, please talk to her about your curse, that is way funnier than anything else she has had to deal with recently. ]

[ tsun cat... ]
Why Ruin specifically? Out of all the gods.

[ she honestly didn't mind it so much, in the end. also... she likes rollo. ]
You were made to oppose Ruin? I thought you said you were a healer.
[ that's not what she said but. ]

(Backdated voice: most things are now on fire.)
Catra gets a curious look for her trouble.]
Are healers not the remedy for Ruin?
no subject
[ for her, for the horde... same difference. regardless, the discussion topic is now mildly philosophical and catra hates it ]
I dunno. I always kind of thought of Ruin as a permanent state.
no subject
And that is Death.
[It went full philosophical, I'm sorry Catra.]
no subject
[ she hates this philosophy bullshit so much ]
You can permanently ruin other stuff without killing it.
no subject
[Go go cat furlosophy. Honestly I just wanted to make that pun.]

[There's a rustle as she moves where she was sitting, curling up a little more in the greenery and the statues.
She doesn't look at Catra, but the cant of her head is delicate, interested.]
And they are not things I can heal.
no subject
That's because healing's not the opposite of ruin, it's the opposite of hurt.
no subject
I may not be able to heal relationships, because it isn't something within my functions. But there are ways and strategies to do so.
[She's still speaking to the water feature, voice a gentle, thoughtful hum.]
And as with all strategies, I'm sure you know, it depends on the timing. The resources. The seizing of opportunity.

[ catra this philosophical talk makes no sense ]
no subject
Of course. I don't give healing to those who don't ask for it.

So how's that all relate to Madoka.
[ please. free her. from this bullshit. she has done to herself. ]
no subject
[Is she free yet. Is Luna helping.]
no subject
[ have you met her, luna!! she's a cat ]
no subject
That's quite impressive. There aren't many people who can claim that ability.
no subject
The ability to what? Talk to people without being intimidated? It's not that hard.
no subject
The ability to talk to anyone, to relate to them, and to make connections regardless of your position. It is a wonderful thing.
[There's probably a misunderstanding in here somewhere. Maybe.]
no subject
[ like. honestly. catra does have a horrible empathy problem which is why she keeps collecting strays, but also. fake. ]

[:) :)]
